HELP WANTED

The library board and staff are looking for someone to round out the library team.  Qualified applicants must enjoy connecting people to the information they are seeking, whether that information is available in print or as an electronic resource.  This is a part-time position with a minimum of twelve hours per week -- Tuesday and Thursday evening and Saturday morning.  Duties are varied and can be customized to the individual selected for the position.  Must be 18 or older.  Apply by Thursday, April 9.

Possible assignments include:
  • Organizing, upgrading, and maintaining the library collection -- print and electronic resources
  • Guiding library visitors to print and electronic resources in the library collection 
  • Matching readers with books they will love
  • Planning and/or promoting library programs
  • Creating seasonal displays in the library
  • Providing technical assistance with computers and other electronic devices
  • Promoting summer reading for students and adults
  • Serving as an advocate for the library in the community
  • Checking items in the library collection in and out
